Introduction

Hello everyone,
This is my blog spot. Wow, technology has "come along way baby." My name is Lauri Morgan and I'm in the Distance Doctorate Family Nurse Practitioner program in my 3rd semester. I currently work in a acute psychiatric unit and even the State of Wyoming has electronic charting. I'm amazed because Wyoming is a little slow when it comes to technology. Sometimes I feel we still use the Pony Express for our mail. Even though technology is growly so swiftly, we have to remember our patients. Patients aren't like email or texting, we need to take care of their needs first and charting later. I have a hard time when nurses think they need to do their charting when their patient hasn't been taken care of. It's just one of my cliches when it comes to computer charting.
Nice to meet everyone,
Blogging off
Lauri Morgan

  1. Great point, we have a Neonatologist who jokingly commands, "let's not let patient care get in the way of charting." I am so happy we finally found your blog! Looking forward to following your post!
